The Wildwood Buggy Bash, one of the growing powerkite events in the US.
Thanks to Rich Miller for the report and to Todd for the video.
If you have not heard of it yet, you will soon. The Wildwood Buggy Bash, held twice a year on Wildwood Beach Wildwood N.J. U.S.A. just wrapped up a 3 day event Sunday October 23rd. The beach is 8 miles long and about a quarter mile wide. With about 30 yards of hard pack at low tide, it makes for some of the best riding on the East Coast. The event is now organized by Peter Lynn Team Rider, Todd Stevick, and myself. This event was the largest and greatest so far! With approximately 100 participants, the beach was a little crowded on Saturday, but still great non the less.
This is the second event in which we were lucky enough to have two Peter Lynn Team Riders spending time on the beach showing their skills, sharing their knowledge, and being such great guys to have around. Not only did Todd Stevick traverse 3000 miles across the U.S.A., to make sure he could be here in time for the event, but Peter Lynn Team Rider Adam Bedinghaus also was able to get to the event. They are both a huge asset at the event. Todd for his Peter Lynn Arc flying experience and buggy skills, and Adam for his Awesome ATB skills, and his knowledge of flying Peter Lynn Arc’s. Both riders are great with the attendees, everyone is always very excited to see them and to watch them as well.
On Saturday, the winds were not very favorable, but they made the best of it. Adam was able to get his 19m Charger in the air and take some nice rides up and down the beach. He is very exciting to watch even when the wind is not nuking allowing him to get massive air. Either way, I know he had a great time. Todd was able to give rides to kids all day on Saturday. He would get them in his tandem and off they would go. They both also spent some time with the Wildwood High School Power Kite Club,a new club which was made possible due to a fund raiser and raffle we had at the Spring Bash. What a great group of young kids getting into the sport. They are doing very well and learned even more when the Peter Lynn Team kicked into gear and showed them the ropes and gave some pointers. I think there is a possibility that a couple will be in buggies before you know it. I know Todd did get one of the girls into a buggy and made a little progress.
Sunday, the wind was not looking to be very good at all. Adam figured he could make the best of it and made an announcement at the Saturday evening BBQ. He was going to do a seminar in the parking lot next door showing little tricks to help people who fly Peter Lynn Arc’s keep them in the air and get the most out of their kites. This announcement got a huge response, the folk’s definitely looked forward to attending. Bright and early Sunday morning, Adam and about 30 people gathered and Adam gave a great seminar. Not only did he go over the Peter Lynn Charger, but also three or four older Arc’s including an F arc! The group was there for about 2-21/2 hours. They loved it. Adam was very informative. Several folk’s had their video cameras going so they would not miss a thing, as well as be able to go back to the video for future reference.
I can say that I am proud to know both Todd, and Adam and call them my brothers. My self and all the attendees of the Wildwood Buggy Bash are always happy to share the beach with both of them. I have been hearing since last bash, “hey Rich, is Adam going to be at the fall bash?” or “hey Rich, Todd is going to make it back in time for the bash?”. I can gladly say they both made it and were both greatly received. I always look forward to a good day flying with either of them.
What a great asset Peter Lynn has in both of these Team Riders. Great ambassadors for the sport and even better ambassadors for Team Peter Lynn.
Pleasant winds,

Todd and Adam are realy good riders with a lot of knowage about the Peter Lynn products and the sports they love. Rich is also a tremendous help with all sorts of information and parts, supplies and support.
