In many snowy areas there are many spots to discover where the snow is fresh. No board or ski has touched this fresh powder, as it is difficult to reach it. Yet your kite can take you there!
The Hornet II and Core are some of the most versatile kites, which can take you anywhere you want to go. The kites are extremely easy to handle and fly smooth through the wind window. The Core has a higher performance than the Hornet II, giving you some greater speed and low end performance, however the Hornet II will be all you need to take you out on your first rides to the white paradise. Both are kites that are excellent for all-round back country use, and due to the predictable flying behaviour they will keep the rider in control, confident to take on gusty mountain winds.
The advantage of the 4-line bridled foils is that they are easy to set up, launch and land and they pack small. You can head right up to the highest peak, pack up your kiting gear and make a smooth ride down the hill.
If you want to take it to the next level and do some jumping, the Twister IIR is the kite to use. As for ground handling and package size the Twister IIR is similar to the Hornet II and the Core, but is a bit more aggressive and offers some serious lift.
The Peter Lynn Twinskin family has proven itself to do very well in the snow as well with their stability and ability to cope with gusty inland.mountain winds. The Charger is a great all terrain kite, while the new Phantom is more geared towards landuse. The depower, lift and float will help you to get serious air while remaining in control at all times. Compared to the 4-line bridled foils, it takes a bit more experience to self launch and land the Twinskins, however the great amount of depower will give you a better ride with maximum control. Especially in gusty mountain winds, you can ride well powered without having the fear of getting out of control.
For freestyle, if you prefer a 4-line bridled foil the Twister IIR is the one to go for. For more extreme freestyle riding, the Charger will take you to the next level. With its fast handling, direct lift and easy depower on the bar you can push yourself into some technical tricks and big jumps.

Hi,
Of all the snowkites presented, it seems that only the Charger has depower abilities, is that the case ?
