3-line Trainer kite
The Impulse TR is the perfect trainer kite for anyone who wants to improve their kite flying skills to get into kiteboarding, landboarding or snowkiting. A unique shape, bombproof construction, 3-line setup and the control bar with safety leash help entry-level kite flyers to develop their kite skills and get used to the power of a kite. The kite has been developed to offer a perfect balance between speed and stability, so riders get challenged when flying the kite but will not struggle to keep the kite in the air. The power can build up to quite a bit, so the rider rapidly learns which sections of the wind window create the most power and which sections the least. The Impulse TR can even be used to ride a land board or a buggy, to get more experienced with kite traction activities.
The Impulse TR is flown on a 3-line control bar with safety system, to get an experience as close as possible to kiteboarding or landboarding right from the start. The extra center line, the Life line, makes a very easy instant relaunch possible.

THESE KITES ARE NOT JUST A TRAINING KITE. I STATIC FLEW THE 3M THIS WEEKEND AND REALLY ENJOYED THE SPEED AND EASE OF FLIGHT THIS KITE HAS. TOOK ME BACK TO THE DAYS BEFORE DEPOWER AND PUT A REALLY BIG SMILE ON MY FACE!!!
Hi,
What kite would you recommend as your best all-round, entry-level kite? I am looking for one kite to use for snowkiting, kiteboarding, etc., and that has depowering capabilities.
Thanks!
Hi Maine,
Thanks for your post.
Best entry level with depower, well, the Charger at the moment is our only depower kite but it is not really ‘entry level’.
Twinskins are truly allround though so a good option for the sports you want to do with it, but if it is your first depower kite you might want to consider an older twinskin model like the Synergy as these are a bit friendlier and not as hardcore as the Charger
I really like the third line, the relaunch feature is nice.
hey,
i’m searching for a beginner powerkite to start flyboarding, i weigh 63 kg. which kite (and which size) is good for me?
Hi Sophie, thanks for posting.
We’ve got two good options for you then, the Hornet if you’d like to cruise and do some small jumps or the TwisterIIR if you want a more lifty kite for bigger jumps.
For both kites I’d recommend 4m size to start with. (start in low winds!)
Last weekend got my new impulse and rely enjoying this
It rely took me back in time
So if your dont know if you whant to buy it, just do it
You will not regret it
Keep it up people from PETER LYNN
Hi,
Can you use the Impulse with a harness? Even in light winds the 2m pulls quite hard
and will make my arms sore.
Greetings from Holland,
Stefan
Hi Stefan,
Yes you can but you will need to put something like a quick release harness line on your bar so you can hook in.
Succes!
Hi Bogi, thanks for posting.
A 2.0 or 3.0 Impulse to start landboarding with, even with your 42Kg I’d say go for the 3.0 as you will get more session out of the 3m, considering the winds we have in Holland.
Good luck!
Is it good for a kid as well as someone els because I really want one
Hi Aaron, thanks for your question.
. Don’t fly it in too much wind though, keep safe!
Yes The Impulse TR is good for kids too
With your weight I’d say go for the 2m, this has plenty power for you.
