Cleaning up the archives we came across some footage that perfectly captures the spirit of Peter lynn.
An adventure unlike anything undertaken before. 4 men against the elements in the most unforgiving place on earth. The Mad way South was a journey from Northern Marocco through the vast emptyness of the Sahara Desert to Mauritania.
Geoff Wilson, Garth Freeman, Steve Gurney and Craig Hansen used only their kite buggies to travel almost 1400 miles through the harshest environments known to man, solely relying on windpower to get them to their destination.
Not only did the men raise funds for the SHE rescue homes in Cambodja, they also set two world records: the first to cross the Sahara by wind power alone and for the longest kitebuggy journey ever. See more videos

Do you need support crew for your next buggying adventure????
Fantastic!!! Absolutely Brilliant!!! There just aren’t enough fanfastic fast & furious adventures around, but this “Mad Way South” sure as hell is one of them.
You boys have done well.
I would suggest roll cages (as must haves) & perhaps these new kite handling systems, as a possibility on the next buggies.
I’m building a purpose built “Kite-Yak”, it will be on the water in 2012, keep an eye out.
