German Buggy Championship 2012, race 2

Jan Laurens & Calle Redecker reporting about the 2nd round of the German Buggy Championships.

Last weekend the German and Dutch Buggykiters came together for the  last race of this year, the 2nd round of the German Championships 2012, in St. Peter Ording. The weather forecast was quite good, but without much wind. On Saturday it was like the forecast. It was really warm but the wind was just enough to start a funrace. The Peter Lynn Vapors dominated the race: Nick Stimpel managed to win, with Sebastian Thomes 2nd and Dominik van Boven 3rd.
After that race there was completely no wind, so some of the German PL riders played KUBB against the Dutch ones.

On Sunday morning there was again no wind, but it became stronger over the day. So at about 12 the Open could start their first race with their biggest kites. The wind became constantly so that 3 races of Master and Open were started. During the last Master race the sun went down, a really great experience riding into the sunlight flooded sky.

GPA 2nd raceweekend, awesome results for the Peter Lynn team

On Monday, a national holiday in Germany, we made the last 2 races of each class with wind about 3 to 4 bft. PL teamriders Dominik and Jan Laurens were upgraded from the youth class to Open Men. Dominik dominated all 5 races and won the Open Class with 0 points at the end. Jan Laurens became 2nd, although he had 2 races with troubles.

In the Master Class 4 PL teamriders got in the top 10. Sebastian drove to the 2nd place, Bastian Bischoff to the 3rd, Calle to the 5th, Nick with three good races on Sunday but bad luck on Monday to the 6th. Guntram got the 13th place, Sascha Petzel the 20th and Foki 22nd.

So all in all it was a great and successful race weekend for the PL team.

Cheers,

Jan Laurens and Calle Redecker
